Additional talk-in frequencies:
The main freq will be 145.310(-)141.3. We also plan to have HF on 3980KHz (TN Phone Net)
and also APRS on 144.390 (Look for the HAMFEST object at I-75 Athens Exit 49).
DEALER/TAILGATER SPACES INFORMATION:
(1) All dealer setups MUST be amateur
radio related...no flea market
junk or large lots of computer stuff!
ALL SETUPS MUST ADHERE TO THE MCARC HAMFEST POLICIES!
(2) There are limited spaces available under the pavilion at $10 each.
Each space is 10' X 20'. There usually are some picnic tables available, or you can furnish your own tables.
You will be allowed to back down to the pavilion and unload,
but all vehicles will have to moved to the upper parking lot once unloaded, per park regulations.
The pavilion will also have non-selling agency booths and will have seating for attendees to eat from.
(3) Tailgate spaces are $5 each for a regular car parking space. Reserve requests must be occupied by 7:00AM.
(4) If you need more than one space in either area, the cost is rent times number of spaces.
Need 2 tailgate spaces? $5 x 2 = $10. Need 3 pavilion spaces? $10 x 3 = $30.

There is one campground near the Hamfest site, Athens I-75 Campground. There are other campgrounds in the area, check the Yellow Pages. There will be no camping at the hamfest site.

There is one campground near the Hamfest site, Athens I-75 Campground. There are other campgrounds in the area, check the Yellow Pages. There will be no camping at the hamfest site.
AREA FUN THINGS TO DO AND SEE
First, the Athens Regional
Park is very family friendly. There are walking trails, and a LARGE
playground in the park for the kids! Bring the family and spend the
day!Bring the family and enjoy. The hamfest will only last from 7:00AM-
12:00 Noon. The MCARC Ladies Auxilary will have biscuits and drinks for
sale for breakfast when the hamfest opens, and there are too many
restaurants to count within 2 miles or less of the hamfest. There is
also 3 shopping centers within 2 miles of the hamfest! (LADIES, PAY ATTENTION!)
Athens, Tennessee is approximately a one hour drive from Knoxville, Chattanooga, and the Smokies. There are lot of things to do and see in the area.

Living Heritage Museum
In Sweetwater:
Sweetwater Flea Market (one of Tennessee's largest!)
Check the internet for more attractions.
The inaugural year for this hamfest in 2005 was a great sucess. The fest has grown every year. We wish to thank everyone who attended, dealers and buyers alike. We hope to see it grow. As it does, we may have to charge a minumum fee for buyers, and dealer spaces may increase slightly, as there are other areas we may be able to use, and some of those indoors. Please let us know what you think of the hamfest be seeing one of the MCARC club members or by emailing us. We are going to do our best to see this become a great, yearly hamfest!
