JERRY ROBERT McGREW, N4GAO / SK
JERRY ROBERT McGREW, age 65 of Englewood, Tenn. died Saturday,
February 18, 2012, in Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville,
Tenn.
He was born and lived in Athens all his life and was preceded in
death by his father: Thomas Edward McGrew.
He was a 1964 graduate of McMinn High School was in the National
Guards, past President and member of Athens Lions Club, member of
Athens Chamber of Commerce, played softball for many years, also
coached Little League Baseball, and was an avid golfer. He was
former owner of Tennessee Communications, The McMinn Answering
Service and was current owner of MASCOM Associates. He was a Ham
Radio Operator and owned Classic Cars. He was a member of Woodward
Ave. Church of God.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Jeanette McKeehan McGrew of
Englewood, Tenn., Daughter and Son-in-law: Rebecca and Roger Gann of
Sweeetwater, Tenn., Mother: Stella Greene McGrew of Athens, Tenn.,
Brother and Sister-in-law: Johnny and Becky McGrew of Englewood,
Tenn., Sister: Sharon Palmer of Athens, Tenn., One of his greatest
loves was his two grandchildren: Kelli McGrew and Bethany Gann,
Brother-in-law and wife: Jerry and Sissie McKeehan of Pahokee, Fla.,
Sister-in-law and husband: Deborah and Thomas Duckett of Niota,
Tenn., Uncle: Hobert McGrew of Orlando, Fla., several nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Monday in Woodward Avenue Church
of God with Rev. Clifford Waters and Dr. Chris Thomas officiating.
Interment will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in McMinn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be James Malone, Larry Malone, Darrel
Malone, Randy Lynskey, Michael Jackson, and Gabe Schlenker.
The family will recieve friends from 5-8 Monday at the church.
